暗杆式铸铁闸门有正方形、环形二种。铸铁闸门一般由门页和门边框两一部分构成，门扇和门边框的原材料为生铁，一般整体铸造、总体生产加工。门扇一般选用控制面板与提升肋的构造，控制面板可做平面图或弧形。门扇一般整体铸造和机械加工，但规格很大的可选用分层构成式。
